In the evening hours of January 4, officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 400 block of S Connecticut. The call originated from a concerned neighbor who had overheard yelling. Upon arrival, officers engaged with 50-year-old Darryl Jones, establishing that he had allegedly been in a domestic dispute with a 39-year-old female.
Allegations surfaced that Jones had battered, choked, and threatened to kill the victim. Subsequently, Jones was apprehended on requested charges of aggravated domestic battery, criminal threat, and domestic battery. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident.
