Ottawa University scored two goals in the final seven minutes of the match to come away with a 2-1 win over the Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team on Wednesday in the KCAC Semifinals at Styker Sports Complex.
The loss negated a soccer effort for the Coyotes, holding the Braves off the board until late in the match.
Emilio Rodriguez scored the first goal of the match, in favor of the Coyotes in the 73rd minute gaining possession of the ball after an initial shot by Cayden Andersen was saved and bounced right to Rodriguez for the score.
Ottawa got the equalizer in the 84th minute on a score by Bence Molnar. Alonso Basauri gave Ottawa the match winner in the 89th minute.
The Coyotes were limited to just four shots, two by Abaenya Nundu and one by Rodriguez and one by Andersen.
The Coyotes will end their season at 13-5-2 overall, and a 9-2-2 record in the KCAC, where the Coyotes earned the No. 3 seed after missing the playoffs the last two seasons.
