KWU Women’s Cross Country places 13th at Doane Blazing Tiger

Kansas Wesleyan Women's Cross Country posted a 13th place finish among 23 teams on Saturday at the Doane Blazing Tiger Invitational at Mahoney State Park.
 
The Coyotes finished with 354 points just edging out Northwestern (Iowa) who had 359.
 
Madisyn Ehrlich led the Coyote finishers among the 288-runner field on the 6K course with a 54th place finish with a time of 23:23.7, Josie Koppes was 65th with a time of 23:43.5, Charlee Lind was 82nd with a time of 24:11.4, Alayna Behrman was 103rd in 24:38.6, Joni Schroeder was 118th in 24:59.4, Shelby Lingle was 144th in 25:26.4, Josey Arthurs was 155th in 25:35.4, and Allyson Taylor was 232nd in 27:29.1.
 
Ellyse Tingelstad of College of Idaho was the individual champion covering the 6K distance in 20:52.
 
College of Idaho was the team champion of the event with 44 points, besting Saint Mary by 13 points.
 
This was the final regular season tune-up for the Coyotes who will head to Winfield in two weeks for the KCAC Championships, hosted by Southwestern College.
