Kansas Wesleyan Men's Tennis was knocked off by the Tabor Bluejays 6-1 on Monday at the Tabor Tennis Courts.
Wesleyan's lone point in the match came at No. 1 singles as Bryce Ware (SO/Amarillo, Texas) continued his winning ways beating Mateo Garcia 6-1, 6-1.
In the other singles flights, Tabor picked up wins. Jean Paul Fort beat Garrison Wright (SO/Maize, Kan.) 6-3, 7-6; Mickel Alexander beat Jacob Phelps (FR/Lawton, Okla.) 6-2, 6-1; Jordan Azenka beat Adam Hanson (FR/Edmond, Okla.) 6-2, 6-1; Ethan Kutz beat Collin Phelps (FR/Salina, Kan.) 6-4, 6-2; and Jacob Goertzen beat Jack Hanson (FR/Edmond, Okla.) 6-4, 6-3.
Tabor also won the doubles point winning two of three flights, both in tiebreaks. Garcia and Alexander beat Ware and Wright 8-4 in the tiebreak at No.1, and Fort and Azenka beat Adam Hanson and Luke Craft (SO/Manhattan, Kan.) 8-6 in the tiebreak.
KWU got a victory at No. 3 doubles as Gavin Chavez (FR/Topeka, Kan.) and Jacob Phelps beat Kutz and Stephano Moreano Chan 6-4.
Wesleyan is back in action on Tuesday, facing No. 20 ranked McPherson at Salina Tennis Center.
