KWU Men’s Soccer draws with Saint Mary

Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer played to a 2-2 draw on Saturday against the Saint Mary Spires.

The Coyotes netted the first goal of the match in the 14th minute as Kamille Kum scored off a pass from Noel Zimbeva.

In the 23rd minute the Coyotes extended their lead to 2-0 when Abaenya Nundu converted a penalty kick.

In the 25th, Saint Mary got on the board on a Romario Harding goal.

In the 61st, Saint Mary got the equalizer. Harding was given a penalty, but Mateus Da Silva stopped the shot, but the ball went right to Abdul Omar who scored it.

Wesleyan had several chances to regain the lead but couldn't find the net.

The best chance came in the 86th when Nundu hit the crossbar.

Wesleyan had a 12-11 advantage in shots led by four by Kum.

Wesleyan gets a week off to reset before heading the Kansas City to take on Avila University next Saturday.
