KWU Cross Country Qualifies Three Women, Men’s Team for NAIA National Championships
Kansas Wesleyan Cross Country has qualified three individual women's student-athletes, and the men's team for the NAIA Cross Country National Championships on November 17 at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Championship Course in Vancouver, Washington.
Qualifying on the women's side for the 44th Annual NAIA event are Madisyn Ehrlich, Josie Koppes and Charlee Lind. All three placed in the Top 20 of last week's KCAC Championship and were among the 88 individuals selected to run in the National Championships.
This will be Ehrlich's second appearance at the National Championships, who also qualified last season individually.
For the men's team, it is the first team appearance for the Coyotes since 2016 when KWU made its second of back-to-back team appearances in the NAIA National Championships. Current KWU head coach Garrett Young was a member of the last qualifying teams as a student-athlete.
Representing the men's team at the 68th Annual NAIA event will be Cisco Alvarez, Julian Avila, Shane Calvin, Jake Cruz, Austin Hess, Carter Huyser, Damion Jackson, Wyatt Johnson, Tytus Reed and Giovanni Rios.
Live results will be available on the NAIA website at naia.org, and a live stream of the meet will be available on the NAIA Network at www.naianetwork.com. There is a pay-per-view fee of $9.99 for each race.
