SALINA — Kid’s Creative Corners, a downtown business known for providing creative and play-based activities for children and families, will be closing as its owner, Tia Westling, transitions to a new chapter for her family.

In a public announcement, Westling shared that the decision comes after “much reflection and consideration,” citing the need to focus on what is best for her family. She expressed gratitude for the “incredible memories, laughter, learning, and meaningful connections” made over the years.

Westling said she hopes to find someone who shares her passion for creating enriching, joyful spaces for children and families to take ownership of the play place. She also noted that the building and space are available for anyone interested in keeping the center open for the community.

All classes and camps will be placed on hold during the transition, although September camps and birthday parties will continue as scheduled.

This marks the second downtown Salina business to announce its closure in recent weeks. Last week, the owner of The Bath Pub said the business will close at the end of August.

Kid’s Creative Corners has been a space for creative play, community engagement, and children’s activities. Westling said she is hopeful the business can remain open under new ownership and thanked the community for its support during the transition.
