Kansas Wesleyan Reveals Schedule for Homecoming 2024
Kansas Wesleyan University (KWU) has unveiled the schedule for Homecoming 2024, set for October 18-20. The weekend promises to bring together Coyotes of all interests, headlined by the much-anticipated "Come Home" concert on October 19, which will unveil the newly renovated Sams Chapel.
The festivities will kick off on Friday, October 18, with a KWU author panel at Red Fern Booksellers in downtown Salina at 9 a.m. The annual Veteran's Recognition Ceremony will follow at 11 a.m. on the Bevan Green, and the 7x7x7 lecture series will take place at 1 p.m. in Peters Science Hall 201.
Friday evening will feature the Golden W (and beyond) and Purple W reception at 4 p.m., followed by various evening activities, including a women's volleyball match against Oklahoma Wesleyan, a performance of "Kodachrome" by the KWU Theatre Department, and an alumni and friends social at The Library Sports Bar and Grill.
On Saturday, October 19, the day will begin with the Alumni Awards and Jerry Jones Athletic Hall of Fame Induction at 8 a.m. in Muir Gym. A tailgate-style gathering will precede the 1 p.m. football game against Avila, where award winners and inductees will be announced at halftime.
The "Come Home" concert will take place following the game, with alumni and friends invited to gather again at The Library Sports Bar and Grill.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday, October 20, with a worship service and a final performance of "Kodachrome" by the Theatre Department.
