For the week ending November 17, 2024, there were 3.4 days suitable for fieldwork, according to the USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service. Topsoil moisture supplies rated 6% very short, 21% short, 57% adequate, and 16% surplus. Subsoil moisture supplies rated 9% very short, 33% short, 52% adequate, and 6% surplus.

Field Crops Report: Winter wheat condition rated 3% very poor, 9% poor, 39% fair, 40% good, and 9% excellent. Winter wheat emerged was 91%, near 90% last year, and ahead of 86% for the five-year average.

Sorghum harvested was 93%, near 94% last year and 91% average.

Cotton harvested was 67%, near 71% last year, but ahead of 56% average.

Sunflowers harvested was 92%, near 89% last year and 91% average.

Pasture and Range Report: Pasture and range conditions rated 10% very poor, 23% poor, 43% fair, 22% good, and 2% excellent.
