UPDATE: The special study session and open public forum to discuss homelessness has been canceled due to the unexpected illness of the consultant, Julia Orlando. The event is anticipated to be rescheduled in January or February 2024.


The City of Salina is set to host a dedicated study session and open public forum aimed at addressing the issue of homelessness. The event will feature a presentation by Julia Orlando, a nationally recognized leader, professional speaker, and consultant from Julia Orlando Consulting. Additionally, Christy McMurphy from the Kansas COC/Kansas Statewide Homeless Coalition will be present to share insights on statewide initiatives.

The informative presentation is expected to last approximately 45 minutes, followed by a Question & Answer session, providing an opportunity for the public to engage in the discussion. All individuals with an interest in the topic are strongly encouraged to attend.
