On May 25 at 7:56 pm, a deputy observed a dark gray Chevy Silverado driving erratically near Saturn and Ninth Street. The driver, later identified as Alexander Bradbury, 20, of Salina, fled at high speed when the deputy attempted a traffic stop.
Bradbury reached 117 mph on I-135 and 110 mph in a 35 mph zone on Crawford Street. The pursuit was initially discontinued due to safety concerns. However, another officer intercepted Bradbury at Crawford Street and Broadway Boulevard, where he stopped in the Kansasland parking lot.
Bradbury faces charges of flee and elude, reckless driving, racing on roadway, speeding, various traffic infractions, and driving with a broken windshield.
