Heat Alert: High Temperatures Pose Threat to Outdoor Workers

Hot temperatures will continue through this week leading to dangerous conditions for outdoor workers. When working under hot conditions, OSHA recommends water, rest, and shade as well as allowing more frequent breaks for new workers or workers who have been away from the job for a week or more (acclimatization). Knowing symptoms, prevention, and emergency response methods can help prevent heat-related illnesses and death. For more safety information check out osha.gov/heat.
