The NWS in Wichita has issued a heat advisory in affect from noon-9 pm, on Wednesday, July 12. Heat index valued from 105-110 degrees are expected in portions of Central Kansas, including Saline County. How temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses to occur.
