The Kansas State University Aerospace and Technology Campus Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) announces the 7th annual Girls in Aviation Day. This free event, for girls between the ages of 8 and 18, aims to introduce the boundless possibilities within the field of aviation as a career choice.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, September 30th, from 10 am to 2 pm, as the event takes place at the K-State Salina Aviation Maintenance Hangar, located at 2425 Hein Ave. There is no cost to attend this incredible opportunity.

During this event, girls will have the chance to connect with peers who share their passion for aviation, explore the vast spectrum of career opportunities within aviation and aerospace, meet accomplished women from various aviation fields, and immerse themselves in thrilling hands-on activities, including flight simulators and much more.
Here's a glimpse of the schedule of events:
- Check-in begins at 9:30 am
- Welcome at 10 am
- Aviation workshops starting at 10:15 am
- Lunch break at 12:20 pm
- Build Your Own Airport activity at 12:40 pm
- Closing announcements to wrap up the day at 1:40 pm
Lunch will be provided for all attendees. Additionally, each guest will receive a drawstring bag filled with Girls in Aviation Day memorabilia and a Girls in Aviation Day t-shirt.
The campus kindly asks that all parents accompany their child for the day at the Aviation Center.
