Gear Up for Mid-America Clash at Salina Speedway
Salina Speedway is set for the Mid-America Clash, which begins on September 21 and concludes on September 23. This year's races are expected to be more thrilling with increased winnings for racers. Race line-ups are to be established via a draw/redraw method each evening, making up two separate shows, both with dual cash prizes. Every race during the event will be streamed live on IMCA TV. Each night, points will be awarded counting towards state, regional, and national IMCA rankings. The Mel Hambelton IMCA Modifieds, Coors Light IMCA Stock cars, Big Corner Creative IMCA SportMods and Busch Light IMCA Hobby Stocks categories all have a chance to win daily prizes of $1,500 and $1,000 respectively, with entry fees and starting fees pegged uniformly. The Bird Contracting IMCA Sport Compacts will be competing for a daily prize of $500. The timeline for the Mid-America Clash is as follows: On Thursday, September 21, gates open at 5 pm with practice starting at 6 pm and concluding at 9 pm. Entry to grandstands is free and the Pit Pass is priced at $20. On Friday, September 22, the pits open at 4 pm, with grandstands opening at 5 pm. Hot laps start at 7 pm and racing commences at 7:30 pm. A ticket for grandstand viewing goes for $12 while children aged 15 and under can enter for free. A Pit Pass costs $35. The final day, Saturday, September 23, follows the same schedule as Friday, with Pit Pass costing $35 and grandstand access admittance priced at $12. Entry for children 15 and under remains free.
