The NWS in Wichita has issued a flood warning for Saline County until 2:3o am on Wednesday, July 5. Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. At 10:30 pm, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Some locations that will experience flooding include Salina, Brookville, Smolan, New Cambria, Glendale, Salina Airport and Kipp.
