Salina Police responded to a report of a disturbance Friday evening near Edward Street and Belmont Boulevard involving several juveniles and a possible firearm.
According to the Salina Police Department, officers determined the incident involved a juvenile altercation. All five juveniles were taken into custody, and investigators confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. No injuries were reported.
Police said there was a report of a weapon being displayed, and a witness also claimed to have seen a firearm. However, a weapon has not been confirmed at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
