Lakewood Discovery Center is hosting their annual Fishing with a Cop on Saturday, June 3, from 8 am- noon. The 17th annual fishing derby is in part with the Salina Police Department, Saline County Sheriff's Deputies, Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers, Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks employees, and Salina parks. Registration is free with many exciting giveaways. Contact Salina Parks & Recreation to sign up.
Immediately after the fishing fun, North Salina Community Development is hosting the 10th annual Hog Roast BBQ from 11 am- 1 pm. If you live, work, serve, volunteer, or just love North Salina, then you are welcome to join in this free event. There will be free prize giveaways and live entertainment provided by The Bill Burrows Band.
