UPDATE: Texas Man Injured After Semi Overturns on Interstate

UPDATE: The Kansas Highway Patrol worked an injury accident on Saturday, September 9 in southern Saline County.

The KHP report indicates that the accident occurred 2:20 am, on I-135 southbound at milepost 85 or at E. McReynolds Rd. A 2020 Peterbilt commercial vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old Houston, Texas man, was southbound on I-135 and the driver swerved to miss a deer. The vehicle entered the west ditch before steering back onto the road and overturning, where the vehicle came to rest on I-135 under McReynolds Rd.

The driver was transported to SRHC by EMS with a suspected serious injury. It's unknown if the driver was wearing a seatbelt.


ORIGINAL: First responders worked an accident on Interstate 135 late Friday night, involving a commercial that had rolled. Crews worked into the daylight hours of Saturday to remove the vehicle from the Interstate, and get traffic flowing again.
