Salina Firefighter John Goertzen, who passed away on March 17, was honored by hundreds who gathered at Tony's Pizza Event Center on Wednesday, March 29.
First Responders from all over Kansas joined to pay their respects and offer support to Salina firefighters.
Salina's firetrucks were adorned with the American flag in honor of John, who dedicated 27 years to the Salina Fire Department.
The Salina Police Department, City Commission and staff, and members of the community also attended the service to pay tribute to Goertzen.
