Felony Property Damage: Man Throws Concrete Through Dillon’s Window in Salina

SALINA—A 56-year-old man was arrested on the seventh for felony property damage after throwing a concrete chunk through a window at a local grocery store. The incident occurred shortly after 4 PM at Dillon’s, located at 1201 West Crawford.

Craig Gilbert, a resident of Salina, was asked to leave the store by staff. After exiting, he threw a piece of concrete through the store’s front window, shattering the glass. The damaged window, measuring 83 inches by 52 inches, was valued at $3,000. Salina police arrived on the scene and arrested Gilbert without further incident.

Officers noted that no additional damage or violence occurred. Although there was no mention of alcohol involvement, authorities have not ruled out the possibility of mental health or substance abuse factors contributing to the incident. Gilbert is currently facing charges for felony property damage.
