Coyotes Claim Fourth Straight KCAC Women’s Golf Match Play Title

Kansas Wesleyan Women's Golf claimed its fourth straight KCAC Match Play title on Tuesday at Mariah Hills Golf Course.

There wasn't the last minute excitement of the 2022 Match Play tournament, but the result was still the same as the top seeded Coyotes beat Oklahoma Wesleyan 4-0-1 in the final. Abby Donovan won her match 1-Up, Chaney Littell won 4&3, and Hannah Hart and Sarah Krenowicz both won 5&3 in the final. Ryann Warren was tied in her match when the overall match was decided.

The Coyotes faced York in the quarterfinal round, winning 4-1. Littell won 6&5, Hart won 4&3, Krenowicz won 6&4, and Donovan was up four with four holes left when the match was called. Ashleyn Armstrong was 1 down with four holes left when the match was decided.

The Coyotes then faced No. 4 seed Evangel in the semifinals. The Coyotes came through down the stretch to get the 3-2 win. Krenowicz won 3&2, Donovan won 2&1 and Hart won 2-Up. Littell dropped her match 3&2, and Warren lost 5&4.

The Coyotes have two tournaments left in the fall schedule. Next week, the Coyotes play in the Virginia McCoy Invitational hosted by Park University at The Deuce at the National Golf Club of Kansas City, and then in two weeks at the Evangel Fall Invitational.
