On May 28, 2024, the County Commission approved the request for an easement at Rural Fire District #7 station, allowing Nex-Tech to install an equipment cabinet to support their fiber expansion projects.
The cabinet will be located on the south side of the fire station without obstructing any operational areas. Nex-Tech will make a one-time payment of $500 to the fire district, which will be deposited into the special equipment account.
This decision follows the Fire District 7 Board of Trustees' recommendation from their May 13th meeting and has no impact on the district’s operating budget.
