At their July 23, 2024 meeting, the County Commission authorized the publication of budgets for 2025 following extensive review sessions held on May 14, May 21, June 25, and July 9. The sessions included assessments of requested and proposed budgets for County departments, outside agencies, and special districts.
With a public hearing scheduled for August 20, staff sought final input from the Commission regarding any desired changes to the proposed budgets. The Commission directed staff to publish the necessary notices at least 10 days before the hearing.
The publication costs are covered within the County’s existing publication budget. The decision marks a crucial step in the budget approval process, ensuring transparency and public involvement.
