County Commission Approves Agreement with City for Pictometry Imagery

At Tuesday's County Commission meeting, Commissioners considered a request for action on the acceptance of the enclosed Agreement for Cost-Sharing of Pictometry Imagery and Software between the City of Salina and Saline County, and request the use of Land Record Technology Funds for the 2023 Pictometry Flight. This includes new ortho/oblique photography, Change Finder, and access to the Pictometry Connect web application. Saline County has contracted for aerial flights with Pictometry since 2017 and this application is heavily used by several County departments.

Budget Impact

The total cost of the flight is $114,862.42 over 3 years. In 2019, when the 2020 & 2023 flights were contracted, the City of Salina agreed to pay $20,600 for each flight. Road and Bridge has agreed to pay $15,000 towards this flight. The remaining $79,262.42 is requested to be paid through the Land Records Technology Fund.

The motion was approved 5-0.
