Construction Equipment Removed from Trailer at South Salina Job Site

SPD is investigating the theft of construction equipment from a south Salina job site.

Captain Hanus says that the alleged burglary occurred between April 11 at 6 pm and April 12 at 6:30 pm. Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Georgia for the burglary of a trailer on a construction site.

The trailer was forced open with a a cut padlock and pried clasp. Damage is estimated at $110. The victim is Smoky Hill LLC Construction Company. The trailer is a white utility trailer, and items removed were valued at $2,000, including:

  • job site tools
  • tool boxes
  • hand held power tools
  • site surveying tools
