Collision Between Vehicle and Bicycle Causes Injury to Bicyclist

On Thursday, March 7th at approximately 9:00 PM, a traffic collision occurred involving a vehicle and a bike. Thanh Tran, 33, of Salina was driving a 2013 Chevy Avalanche westbound on Otto Avenue while crossing Hageman Avenue. Bradley Pigorsch, 64, also from Salina, was riding northbound on Hageman Avenue and crossing Otto Avenue when he struck the left front of the vehicle. Pigorsch, the bike rider, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to receive medical attention, possibly requiring surgery. The incident remains under investigation.
