Collision at Santa Fe & North St Results in Injuries

An accident occurred at the intersection of Santa Fe and North St on Friday, June 9, at 1:40 pm, resulting in injuries. The incident involved two vehicles, a 2003 Cadillac CTS and a 2001 Honda motorcycle.

The Cadillac was traveling westbound and came to a stop at the intersection's sign. However, the 81-year-old driver from Salina failed to yield to the southbound Honda on Santa Fe. As a result, the vehicle collided.

The driver of the Cadillac was subsequently cited for failing to yield while leaving the stop sign. The Cadillac sustained damage to its passenger side, while the Honda motorcycle suffered heavy damage.

EMS responded to the scene and attended to the injured motorcyclist, identified as a 69-year-old rider from New Cambria. The rider was transported to SRCH with minor injuries.
