TRANSPORTATION
- OCCK Transportation: OCCK, Inc. Transportation is announcing service changes for Wednesday, February 19, 2025, as a result of winter weather.
CityGo will run regular routes only, no peak routes. Regional paratransit, GoAbilene, and GoConcordia will run reduced schedules.
81 Connection and KanConnect, and OCCK OnDemand will run normal hours, weather permitting. Passengers could expect delays across all services.
The plan is to have regular hours for all services again on Thursday, February 20, 2025, but additional changes may happen as conditions warrant.
EDUCATION
- USD 305 Salina Public Schools: Salina USD 305 is canceled for Wednesday, February 19. This is due to the bitter cold, wind chill and danger of frostbite. We appreciate everyone's patience as we work through weather challenges.
- Salina Area Technical College: Due to the inclement weather, Salina Tech will be closed on Wednesday, February 19th.
- Kansas Wesleyan University: Due to the extreme cold, Kansas Wesleyan's campus will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, Feb. 19. The university will open at 10 a.m.
- USD 306 Southeast of Saline: Southeast of Saline will be closed on Wednesday due to record cold and blowing snow.
HEALTH & FITNESS
- YMCA: We have decided to cancel all morning Group Exercise classes scheduled for 2/19/2025.
Miscellaneous
- Salina Community Economic Development Organization: Due to the snow and extreme cold weather, the EDO board meeting is be rescheduled from Thursday, February 20th to Thursday, February 27th.
- Salina Area United Way and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) due to inclement weather and frigid temperatures, Salina Area United Way and VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program will be closed Wednesday February 19th. All scheduled appointments will be rescheduled.
- Salina Food Bank is closed Wednesday, February 19th.
- Salina Art Center: Art Byte Canceled today due to Weather
