On Monday November 13 th , as part of the City’s annual mill and inlay project APAC Shears of Salina will perform repairs on the parking lot in the northwest quadrant of Santa Fe Avenue and Ash Street.
Weather permitting, the parking lot will be closed to traffic for a week or less while the work is occurring. Ample public parking exists directly across Ash Street to the south; motorists are reminded to continue to respect nearby private parking during the inconvenience.
The work primarily consists of milling the existing asphalt surface and replacing it with new asphalt to rehabilitate and preserve the pavement. Permanent pavement markings will be placed shortly after the resurfacing.
The $1.016M project is a major component of the City of Salina's $4.7M 2023 maintenance capital improvement program.
