Salina Parks and Recreation Business Manager, Cindy Lamer, bid farewell to her colleagues on Friday as she retired from her post. Friends and co-workers joined her in celebrating the occasion at the Parks & Recreation office. Cindy joined the City as an employee at the former Bicentennial Center (now Tony's Pizza Events Center) before transitioning to the Parks & Recreation Department in 2010. Reflecting on her tenure, Lamer remarked, "I am leaving here with co-workers who have become friends. I also enjoyed the diversity of my job as every day was unique in some way." Her plans for retirement include spending time with her grandchildren and fulfilling a "Kansas bucket list" with her husband in the coming months. Congratulations and best wishes for a happy retirement, Cindy!
