On Thursday, September 21 at 7:19 pm, officers were sent to Snak Attack, 1619 W Magnolia. On arrival, they spoke with the store clerk, who reported that he had been alone in the store, near the back. On hearing the door chime, he went to the front counter an observed a female wearing a blue medical mask. She was ducked behind the counter, and appeared to be getting cash from the register. When the suspect saw the clerk, she attempted to jump over the counter. The clerk grabbed onto her to stop her from leaving. The suspect was able to get around the counter and get away.
There was also a second apparent suspect, a male who was also in a blue medical mask. He appeared to be standing at the front door as a lookout. Both suspects left the store, and got into a vehicle, from which the clerk was able to get a tag number.
A short time later, an officer reportedly observed the vehicle traveling near 9th and Claflin, and performed a traffic stop. The female subject, who was the passenger, allegedly fled on foot, and was later located. The male suspect stayed in the car. $500 cash was recovered. Both suspects were identified as 17-year-olds, and arrested on the following individual requested charges:
