On June 5, around 8:30 pm, Salina police were dispatched to a burglary at a residence in the 600 block of North 7th Street. The crime occurred between 7:15 pm and 8:00 pm. The victims, a 19-year-old and a 45-year-old male, returned home to find their front door kicked in. Stolen items included a payroll check, a pair of shoes, an Apple iPhone 8, a black backpack, and a lunchbox, amounting to a $250 loss. The suspect also attempted to kick in the back door but was unsuccessful. There are no suspects at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
