On the morning of Friday, August 9, 2024, police were dispatched to Dean Evans Stadium following a report of a burglary that occurred overnight. Employees of Phillips Southern Electric reported the incident.
Suspect(s) broke into a blue conex box at the construction site and stole 2,000 feet of copper wire, comprising four 500-foot spools, each valued at $500. The break-in caused $400 in damage to the conex box, with the total loss estimated at $4,440. Additionally, wires feeding two poles were pulled.
There are no suspects, and no video footage is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
