Bridge Replacement to begin Near K-4 in Saline County

Beginning Monday, April 8, the Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a bridge replacement on a side entrance off K-4 over Gypsum Creek Drainage in Saline County, located about 1.2 mile southeast of 7th Street in Gypsum.

Project activity is located off the highway and on the shoulder with minimal traffic impacts expected. Occasional lane closures may be necessary at times, and traffic will be directed through those work zones by flaggers.

L & M Contractors Inc. of Great Bend is the prime contractor and has scheduled the $90,682 project to be completed in June, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.  To stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas, go to www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1.
