A bike and vehicle accident occurred in south Salina on Sunday, August 13, at 3:16 am.
Sgt Tonniges says that the bike was being ridden by a 19-year-old man from Salina, southbound in the 2600 block of S 9th. While in the outside lane, a green 2013 Toyota Rav 4 driven by a 72-year-old Salina woman rear-ended the bike. The driver of the vehicle reported that she didn't see the bike rider.
The bike rider had road rash injuries. EMS responded but the man declined assistance.
