Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina is excited to announce its 1st Annual Be Big
Salina Cash Raffle, an extraordinary opportunity to make a difference in a child’s
life while standing a chance to win up to $25,000.
Since 1968, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Salina has operated under the belief that
inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. Their mission is
to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power
and promise of youth.
Raffle participants directly support children in the community by taking them off
the waitlist and into life changing mentorship. Currently, there are over 80 youth
waiting for a mentor in the program, highlighting the urgent need for support.
“The children in our programs are achieving academic success, avoiding risky
behaviors and learning to build strong relationships with their families and
others," said CEO Amanda Otto. " Our agency relies on funding to carefully match
volunteers with children and provide ongoing support to sustain long-term one-to-one mentoring friendships. The Be Big Salina Cash Raffle is a win/win for our community.”
Only 2,500 raffle tickets will be sold at $50 each. Raffle tickets are available from
October 15-December 3, or until all 2,500 raffle tickets are sold. The cash prize
drawing will be held at 3:45pm on December 5 via Facebook Live
(facebook.com/bbbssalina). Sponsors include 99KG and Eagle Communications.
