Officers responded to the 1400 block of Hickory for an apparent case of domestic battery that took place on Thursday, June 29 at 9:31 pm. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 29-year-old female victim who reported a series of events involving her boyfriend, identified as Donald Heart, aged 32, of Salina. Despite a no-contact order, Heart allegedly forcefully enter the victim's residence.
According to the victim's statement, she attempted to reach out for help by dialing 911 on her cell phone. However, Heart forcefully seized the device from her, effectively preventing her from summoning assistance. In addition to this act, Heart allegedly battered the victim, resulting in injuries.
Donald Heart was apprehended and now faces multiple requested charges. These include robbery, intimidation of a witness, domestic battery, and violation of a protection order.
