In the late hours of Thursday, December 21, at approximately 10:45 pm, officers responded to a potential domestic disturbance in the 1900 block of Gebhart. According to a 29-year-old female victim, she found herself in an altercation with a 41-year-old individual identified as Michael Bentley. The victim reported that Bentley took her phone, threatened her life, choked her, and battered her before she managed to escape.
Seeking refuge at a friend's residence, the victim called 911 for assistance. Although she sustained minor injuries, she did not require transportation to the hospital. Michael Bentley was subsequently apprehended and faces requested charges that include Aggravated Domestic Violence Battery, Robbery, Criminal Threat, and Domestic Battery.
