SALINA, KANSAS โ Abilene will appear live on national television Friday, October 24, at 6:00 a.m. (CST) as part of a segment on Fox & Friends, a program that averages approximately 1.3 million viewers. The feature includes former Abilene resident Steve Doocy. The event was previously scheduled last month and postponed; organizers say plans are now confirmed.
According to organizers, Abilene businesses will open early and community groups will participate, including 54 Abilene High School band students who volunteered to perform on a non-class day. Local manufacturers will showcase products, additional businesses across town will join the segment, and the cityโs Greyhounds mascot and dogs are expected on site.
