65-Year-Old Disabled Woman's Vehicle Stolen, Recovered at Hotel: Investigation Ongoing

On May 5th between 10:30 am and 12:21 pm, a theft of a vehicle occurred at the 200 block of North 2nd Street, with a 65-year-old disabled woman as the victim. The stolen vehicle was identified as a 2006 Saturn Vue, valued at $5,500.

The victim suspects an individual who regularly assists her with her dogs, as the person had access to her residence. She noticed the keys missing upon waking up from a nap at 10:30 am, and the vehicle was later found at 12:21 pm at a hotel located at 1846 North Ninth Street.

The victim confirmed she did not authorize anyone to use her vehicle. Although a suspect is under consideration, the investigation is ongoing, with the keys yet to be recovered.
