3rd Annual Charlie Walker Pitch Challenge a Success
Eight entrepreneurs, along with their families and friends, filed into the College Center at Kansas State University – Salina on Friday, March 22nd to compete in the third annual Charlie Walker Pitch Challenge. Sponsored by The Bennington State Bank and JRI Hospitality, this event honors the iconic Salina businessman and entrepreneur, Charlie Walker. The evening included a program emceed by Todd Welsh of Salina Homes, live, shark-tank style pitches from local entrepreneurs, an awards ceremony, and a presentation of checks.
The winners of this event include:
• Morgan Baughman, The Refillery - $6,000
• Jacee Rietbrock, Heartland Lactation - $4,000
• Latoriea Edwards, AOT Acquisition and Consulting - $3,000
• Adria Smith, BeYOUtiful Creations by AS - $2,000
• Elizabeth Denholm, Unlimited Sips- $1,000
This competition was judged by Megan Browne with JRI Hospitality, Darren Gragg with The Bennington State Bank, and John Gunn, a serial entrepreneur and philanthropist.
