UPDATE: Motorcycle Rider Injured in East Salina Accident

UPDATE: Sgt Tonniges says that the vehicle an motorcycle accident occurred on Monday, August 14, at 9:24 pm, as the intersection of Crawford and 2nd. A motorcycle was westbound on Crawford, being operated by a male rider. A 2013 silver Ford C-Max, driven by a 53-year-old Salina man, was eastbound on Crawford. The driver attempted to make a left hand turn to go north on 2nd, and pulled in front of the motorcycle, causing a collision.

The rider had serious but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to SRHC by EMS. The driver of the Ford was cited for no proof of insurance and failure to yield while making a left-hand turn.


At 9:25 pm on Monday, August 14, first responders were sent to the area of Crawford and Front for a 2-vehicle accident. Reports indicate that a passenger car and a motorcycle were possibly involved. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time, but one person may be lying on the ground. Westbound traffic is being diverted at the scene.
