MONDAY UPDATE: Captain forrester says the accident occurred at 6:50 am on Friday, May 12, at the intersection of Crawford and Montrose. A 2010 Ford Fusion driven by a 23-year-old Salina man was southbound on Montrose, at the stop sign. The driver failed to see a 2010 Harley Electra Glide Motorcycle being driven westbound on Crawford by a 38-year-old Salina man. The car pulled out in front of the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was transported by EMS to SRHC for unknown injuries. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by wreckers. The car's driver was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.


7:51 AM UPDATE: All roads are now open to traffic.


ORIGINAL: At 7 am on Friday, May 12, first responders were sent to the intersection of Crawford and Montrose for a 2-vehicle accident. Reports indicate that a car and motorcycle were possibly involved, and at least one person was transported to the hospital by EMS. The extent of injuries is unknown. The westbound lanes of Crawford are currently blocked from Phillips to the railroad tracks while officers work the accident. Salina311 will have more information as it becomes available.
