10th Annual Ginny Haynes Keller Poker Run
On Saturday, September 9th, the 10th annual Ginny Haynes Keller Poker Run will be held, a fantastic event dedicated to supporting the Salina Alzheimer's Support Group. This year, the event is going all out to make a difference in the lives of Alzheimer's patients and their dedicated caregivers right here in our community.
The action kicks off at 1500 E Magnolia, the scenic setting of Eaglecrest Independent Living. From 9-10:30 am, fuel up for the day ahead with a delectable spread featuring breakfast burritos, refreshing juice, and piping hot coffee during the registration process.
Get ready to hit the open road as the first bike roars to life at 10:30 am. It's not just about the thrill of the ride; it's about the cause. And speaking of thrills, there are some fantastic poker prizes up for grabs: 1st place takes home a cool $500, 2nd place scores a generous $250, and there's even a special prize for the worst hand – making it anyone's game.
As the day unfolds, the poker run journey culminates at the VFW, with the last bike rolling in at 4 pm. But the fun doesn't stop there. Savor a mouthwatering pulled pork dinner while perusing the tempting bake sale and participating in an exciting silent auction. And don't miss the live auction, where you could snag some incredible items. For more information, contact Tammi McArthur, 1-785-643-0767.
Remember, 100% of the proceeds from the Ginny Haynes Keller Poker Run will directly benefit Alzheimer's patients and their devoted caregivers in our local community. So, gear up, grab your poker face, and join in for a day of excitement, camaraderie, and most importantly, making a meaningful difference in the fight against Alzheimer's. See you on the open road.
