A vehicle fire occurred in the early hours of June 17th, resulting in the destruction of a 1990 Ford F150 truck. The incident took place at 2:46 am near the intersection of Assaria Rd and Old 81 Hwy, leaving the owner unharmed.
According to reports, the 33-year-old owner from Gypsum, who had recently performed maintenance on the vehicle, noticed that it was running rough. Sensing trouble, he promptly pulled over. As he exited the truck, a fire erupted in the engine compartment.
Fortunately, the driver managed to safely exit the truck without sustaining any injuries. However, the fire caused an estimated loss of $1,000. The Saline County Fire District #2 responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
