On April 28th, around 3:00 pm, an officer spotted a gray 2009 Nissan Quest on the 300 block of North 9th Street, reported stolen from Wichita. The vehicle was identified through a license plate reader system.
The driver, Paul Hurt, a 30-year-old male from Salina, claimed he was unaware the vehicle was stolen and had received it for free in Salina a few days prior from another male whose first name he knew. Hurt was arrested for possession of stolen property and driving while suspended. The vehicle had been reported stolen from a private citizen on April 25th.
