On May 8th, a reported robbery occurred in Salina's Oakdale Park between 7-8pm, according to police. The victim, an 18-year-old male, stated he was walking in the park when he was struck from behind, punched several times, and lost consciousness.
Witnesses found him afterwards and ensured his well-being. The victim claimed not to know the perpetrator(s). The incident occurred east of the pickleball courts, with the suspect(s) taking cash from his wallet but leaving the wallet behind. No EMS was called immediately. Later, officers spoke to the victim at the Budget King Hotel on North Broadway Boulevard.
