A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 8 pm this evening to 8 am Thursday.

Snow is expected. Total snow accumulations of 1-2 inches are possible. Winds will be gusting as high as 35 mph.

Central Kansas will be affected in the following counties:

  • Barton
  • Chase
  • Ellsworth
  • Lincoln
  • Marion
  • McPherson
  • Rice
  • Russell
  • Saline

Plan on slippery road conditions. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the early morning commute.

Travel on I-70 will be affected by the snow, blowing snow and occasional strong cross-winds, making travel difficult and hazardous tonight.
