Wichita Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash

The Kansas Highway Patrol worked a fatality crash on Monday, March 4 in Saline County.

The KHP report indicates that the crash occurred at 7 am, in the 12000 block of S Gypsum Valley Rd. A 1992 Chevy Van, driven by a 62-year-old Wichita man, was Northbound on S Gypsum Valley Rd when, for an unknown reason, it left the roadway to the right. The van entered the field, struck a tree, and traveled several hundred yards until coming to rest on its wheels.

The driver of the Van was deceased at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt.
